schedule so I jumped at the end of Summer video now in preparation for what kind of rum so I thought that before we actually September the episodes because I thought it would be worth making a video about not so much kind of helping with being a visual on how to body parts when sculpting how to connect them you are claimed are pretty much look like you know correct proportion van like a human should have just being human or you know that type of thing different the normal no I didn't switch color or anything on purpose because I'm going to be using the alien how long each one it is and how exactly indep from go but to start start with ahead I guess so kind of all messed up or whatever so again we're going to turn it into a circle kind of outline of how it should look so again with all hair and kind of facial features and step aside kind of I guess I had and I want to make a neck to show where I would connected how checking and then we're going to kind of connected to a body to exactly show how that should look so there is our head and here is our neck in that is going to leave some marks on the poster board so good thing I have it handy piece of paper right there alright so what I'm going to do is this for most of my human-looking model is a form head high want to form and rather than putting the neck right on the other side of the head on over to the side I guess the side but back of the head and then use it take me to kind of push the no would like to interpret the Clay Oven neck into the claim back of the head like this and you got to kind of really get it in there so there are no scenes no kind of anything about that you can see you a better sense of the head because rather than putting the neck right now right underneath head if you look at yourself kind of profile in the mirror which I'm actually giving kind of right now I have been talking about this your chin obviously sticks out and stuff and you have a much easier time you know try to form the rest of the head any kind of go for the face from there if you leave yourself. Space at the bottom take your finger and get this kind of where that you can be and push it onto the neck like that had to make a little ARCA guess and then again you kind of just have to use your scope and capabilities I'm you can kind of push part of the neck up a lot more you know just make sure there's all kind of on toothpicks would help in this sense you put YouTube the next and that point like that you pretty much have your head with the neck I want to push it down a little bit cuz I don't actually make my next to big one side you know sort of model no matter whom something really the next on the shorter side so offensively a head and neck and now I'm going to connect with head and neck to a body somewhere kind of lay back down to the side over there for so here's our head neck and now I'm going to kind of make the body I think it wise to end up right here and we'll kind of I guess the head kind of inside the head so you going to have the should be pretty good cuz we're going to have to make it to the body like I said so when I do the body obviously more or less scope kind of the chest and stomach first school kind of you know the long section then obviously after so the shoulder blades are right now so first off is making I guess a pretty large shape this might be easier than I kind of anticipated because words to make a shape and then put that in right there so now we're going to use it before and kind of motion to clean to each other so at this point we're just kind of connecting the neck to the body that we kind of just put in place so you'll do that until it's kind of all you know and difficult of concept to grasp so you is kind of my thing you here and make enough room probably just you know about my finger with wide on both sides which will be the little spots were going to put the arms on this part of preferably going to be the shoulder but with that said we need to kind of make the neck little more prominent you know I like that but that's exactly what you're going to do for there and then what you can do is kind of pull the body little bit longer and obviously this probably is going to be for the whole length of the body probably needs more clay especially around the first of the five and below that you probably need that more but just started this is pretty much all the body will be I want to make a note of the body though because it's actually is kind of where I think some people might messes up and actually keep in mind when you're coping is kind of elongation the body there is a chance that because you're kind of homework like you know that this is going to get a lot more flat and you don't really want that you kind of want your figure to you no have the same kind of side around and make him look three-dimensional not some two dimensional am I pulling on the clay I'm going to make it flatter and flatter so you want to make sure that you kind of have enough clay to work with up around the chest in the shoulder area and then you can always add more clean the back which I think will show after I kind of get this car done and we do the vehicle arms and stuff so I'm just kind of going to mess around a little bit with these top Parts kind of push them in pull them out until I kind of have these little stub you're nasty might want to push the head down a little bit more make the neck a little bit Center essentially that is going to be our body for right now and will sculpt the limbs early so we got this much now and I'm running a place I'll have to stop and get some more at some point but right now we're going to do the carbs the arms are pretty basic pretty much at a loss with the clay and again depending on specifically what type of character you're making you know that would depend on exactly you know arm position arm you know all that kind of length and stuff but for right now I just have been every kind of model guy with me this is how you do it so we have a little bit of the shoulder that we left in the last kind of part and now I'm going to take this arm and put the shoulder up going to have my finger and push it so it's a little bit you know I get a raised over where like this one would be so that's a little bit farther up and then I'm going to take one end of the clay probably the sticker and cuz you know arms go from thick to thinner right where I purchase of the best finger so right there and I'm a little bit we're right now but now would that little for the same they're the kind of goes all the way around Rent-A-Car finger again and kind of block that scene so that you can't see it all the way around and then there might still be a little piece kind of right here that looks a little weird so we'll just take the rest of the shellac you can kind of roll it into I guess the where the neck connects to the body where the shoulder pieces and then from that point we're just going to bring them down and do some sculpting too kind of I make the upper part of the arm look right and then we have a shoulder piece and an army stuff and eventually again after kind of scoping except we're going to have what is our arm and shoulder so yeah that's pretty much that I can show it again on the other side and again it might be a little soon but we'll go back and add some clean to the back and stuff so do that again Dixon Clay Road black traffic report as best I can right now the Rent-A-Car finger kind of push the shoulder up like that take the stick end of the arm put it right in there and then get rid of the seam all the way around trying to fold it up into where the neck meets the start of the body and then just use our company capabilities to kind of make you all the way around and essentially create ourselves and shoulder and then again going from there you can kind of get out if it's pretty good you can kind of pose it however you want and i stuff like that so is the arms and the body in the shoulder and how to connect them on stuff and now we'll move on to the I guess thighs and everything below and now we're going to continue on with the thighs and pretty much everything below there a little bit more challenging and then making the shoulders or anything like that and get the height right I always kind of sculpt her I used to sculpt kind of the thigh and I guess groin area first and then trying to connect the legs on to that but it always gave such a large portion of kind of thought so this is freezing pretty gray technique to use to make your character proportionate and it goes like this are we so it's the same thing as we did with the arms pretty much I'm just trying to get some clay together here enough clay and we're going to sculpt it you know like we did with your I'm fixing to be a little bit thicker and his legs are usually thicker than arms so I got a chance of making it to you know a long long piece of clay now we're going to I guess I kind of have to ruin this poster board now we're going to have to do the same thing again trying to do this kind of same way our solar system with the same height and he's all right so we got these two pieces here like I said earlier I had a lot of trouble I should do this I had a lot of trouble with sculpting again though the fire is so this is kind of a clever solution I ended up with you going to put both of them together and you connect them out stop casino machine together I guess and then as you put together at the top you end up making the kind of thigh flash groin area and then your last two eggs and obviously I put them on straight like this but when you put them on it'll be a really nice kind of appearance and a very human-looking appearance at your claim all about have been trying to make a separate and then put your legs on which I again I was going to prom with so obviously that's way too thin because you're so much more my kind of I guess we're just gonna pretend so I guess I don't really need to do this again having to restock really soon but this would kind of make use of the tyranny of making sure your model stays 3D and that's always adding cleaning the back you can always upgrade of the back if you need to so let's get this stuff out of the way and it's him all right so simple all you have to do is make a small it's like that and line it up with the area that's looking a little bit flat and again kind of using your scope and capabilities with your fingers and stuff just kind of work it into into each I and you know it instantly makes it thicker and I can do the same thing for the guy kind of color of Ross golfing toothpicks are highly recommend I don't actually think I kind of talked about them enough in my clay tutorials but few things are definitely going to save you a whole lot of time because I know that I'm sure it's some kind some amateur sculptors and some you know professional sculptures to and stuff you know people use armatures or kind of wire frames to build around there but for me honestly because I started doing clay such a long time ago I never was exposed to that and I know now it exists and stuff and I know that making like they were just helping terms of the bulk of the they would hold it together better but especially you know I really aren't over Lansing maybe five to seven Neymar 5 to 9 inches of somewhere or somewhere around there is a typical size all for me nowadays so I really don't see the need to make an Armature for a model of that size and again a long time ago I had to pick up my disposal so using toothpicks in the Anna's connecting pieces are really going to help your models I'm not only stand up but in the assembly process and that's you might have trouble trying to kind of I guess I'll demonstrate a little bit after I kind of get the rest of this clay onto the back of this like you're not going to have a trouble with trying to make them I guess stand up or something to try not to know make the model a certain way going to help a lot in terms of the assembly alone because if you can do and what I do sometimes is this what kind of fruit toothpicks inside kind of going through inside the model Christmas together and then I'll kind of make the spot on the model where I wanted to go and then pull it well that kind of stuck but I'll pull it out. Stay in the whole the hold will be made and then you can use some glue which I kind of have a gate for this Loctite super glue that's what I use and then about you kind of glue in place and you know that it'll be hard and now it won't fall over the other night because the soft clay baking you know so after I fell hard stuff and comes out of the glue it on as you put it in the oven in you know you'll have enough in this model standing up with no kind of worried that I might fall over and you haven't wished if you guys have been following me but you haven't been following me one of the biggest pitfalls I have in my clay is that it falls over it in the oven and that's because you know I don't assemble it right and it gets too top-heavy or you know it just ends up falling over that I just kind of felt the need to kind of fix the I guess Panther legs ever calling them kind of backup 2 pics would help a lot here but kind of proves the sky but we do like that I really wish that I could have had more room here but essentially that in conclusion is how you would most successfully sculpt a generic kind of human-looking figure and when I say you know like I said I don't know how many human like ever person but I just called them. They human-like kind of characters such as link or pit or stuff like that I'm kind of detailing the side like I said before I'll quit face and said would be a completely different matter what that's what my Cricket Orioles are for if you need help but that's that's pretty much how you would make the or how I make anyway kind of the generic parts and how a human figure should look and again. I kind of get myself you can kind of use your skull thing abilities helping you know Carpenters to make either the shape a little bit Slimmer you know adjust the the poses of the posture just kind of feel like that's the basic shape the basics of how I do it and it was all detailing this would look like a character from whatever you want it to be Acacia from what are my favorite taboo right now it's just he was all blue how to do it thanks for watching guys is kind of precursor to Mike Leach toys for September when I hope you guys stick around for the Orioles when they are all throughout the month
