The Great California Shake Out

Millions of people worldwide will practice how to Drop, Cover, and Hold On at 10:20 a.m. on October 20* during Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drills, which began in California in 2008.

Participating is a great way for your family or organization to be prepared to survive and recover quickly from big earthquakes– wherever you live, work, or travel. ShakeOut is also a major activity of America's PrepareAthon!

Student ID Cards Required on Campus at ALL Times

Students are reminded that they should be carrying their school ID with them on campus at all times. This is especially important for students who have late start (No 1st /No 2nd period) or early out (No 7th / No 8th period) schedules. Students who have lost their ID must pay $5 for a replacement in the Student Store.

Seniors have the option of ordering a senior package from Herff Jones. They will be on campus accepting orders at lunch on November 4th, December 2nd, and January 14th.

UCLA Shape Tutors

UCLA's SHAPE (Students Heightening Academic Performance through Education) program is offering free tutoring and mentoring services (among other things) to the AMA academy students which started on October 13th. Current UCLA students are providing services in the Media Center every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:15-6:00 pm.
