- Example: Part 3: "Montag aw the flirt of a great fist over the far city and he knew the scream of the jets that would follow, would say, after the deed, disintegrate, leave no stone on another, perish. Die" (158) Personification: The bomb and jets are personified as a fist and a person that screams to convey fear, violence, and destruction.
