Nearly 70% of seniors who graduated from public and nonprofit colleges in the past two years had a student loan debt averaging $30,100 per borrower. For students attending college out-of-state, their loans can easily be double.

Luckily there are some colleges available that offer
free tuition for qualified applicants. Our college planning experts at TheBestColleges.org have assembled a list of the 10 best colleges that offer free tuition - and how to apply.

As the total student loan debt continues to grow, we want to ensure that students have access to useful financial aid resources that will help make college more accessible. Please see below for more information on a fully-funded Summer Technology Scholars Program for high school students interested in technology and entrepreneurship.

The Horizons Technology Scholars Program is a 7-week immersive course that teaches the fundamentals of technology entrepreneurship and software development. We have previously held courses for university students and have seen some amazing candidates apply to our programs from schools like Harvard, Princeton, UPenn/Wharton, Columbia, Yale, Stanford, MIT, and more.

We've had engineers, business students, liberal arts majors and designers take our program - they've gone on to receive product management, engineering, and venture capital offers from firms such as Google, Zappos.com, Yelp, Optimizely, Redfin, Insight Venture Partners, and Slack. Others are winning global hackathons and building their own startup ideas.

We're now expanding our program to talented high schoolers!

I would be thrilled and honored if you could forward out this opportunity to students at your school. Applications are due on March 15, 2017 and can be started here.

Thank you,
Abhi Ramesh

The Horizons Scholarship
The Horizons Scholarship supports 5 outstanding high school students in their pursuit to become leaders in technology. The program provides immersive software engineering and web/mobile development courses geared towards high-achieving high school students. Students need not have a computer science background! Our curriculum, developed by ex-Salesforce and Optimizely engineers alongside PhDs in computer science, is designed to teach students how to build web, mobile, and desktop applications. The program is 7 weeks during the summer.

Our Horizons Speaker Series brings in successful founders, investors, and technologists into the classroom. You'll hear from some of the industry's foremost experts. We've had some amazing speakers like the founders of Zenefits, Coinbase, Digital Ocean, Andela, x.ai, Shapeways, and more.

The Horizons Mentor Network includes current/past employees of firms such as Google, Facebook, Uber, Airbnb, Snapchat, and more. As a Horizons student/graduate, you will have permanent access to this exceptional group of mentors to help with career choices, general mentorship, and more.

Past Horizonites have come from a variety of schools and backgrounds. Students have hailed from Harvard, Princeton, UPenn/Wharton, Columbia, Northwestern, Brown, Michigan and more. We've welcomed National Math Olympiad winners, USA Computing Olympiad participants, renowned college entrepreneurs, students with perfect SAT/ACT scores, talented designers, photographers, and more as part of our previous cohort.
