Description: The Apprentice Ecologist Initiative Scholarship is open to young people interested in the environment. You must conduct an original research project that investigates the many behavioral, biological, environmental, and social factors that affect health. Epidemiology is the science of exploring patterns of disease, illness and injury within populations, with the goal of developing methods for prevention, control and treatment to improve health. Description: The Horatio Alger National Scholarship Program is open to full-time high school seniors who are planning to pursue a bachelor's degree at an accredited college/university in the United States. 11) SATW Teen Travel Writing Scholarship is provided by the Society of American Travel Writing Scholarships. The Deadline is September 27, 2009, the amount that would be won is $1000 and there are 3 available awards. I have to opportunity to win because it is to every student between the ages of 13-18 that has to write about a personal travel experience no more than 600 words.

12) AXA Achievement Scholarship Program provided by the AZA Achievement scholarship Program the deadline is on December 15, 2009. The amount of the award is $25000 this award is available for 52 people. Anyone is eligible to receive this scholarship if you are a High School Senior that are outstanding outside of classrooms and that are planning to attend a university of California in the Fall 2010.

13) Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes is provided by Barron Prize the deadline is on April 30, 2010. The amount is $2500 and it is to everyone who has done community service for their own nothing for school that has helped others, and someone who is spirited in school.

14) Davidson Fellows Scholarship is provided by Davidson Institute for Talent Development the deadline is on March 3, 2010. The amount is $50000 it is opened for any student that can demonstrate achievements though a creation that improves the lives of others areas of science, technology, mathematic, music, literature, philosophy and outside the box.

15) Apprentice Ecologist Initiative Scholarship is provided by Nicodemus Wilderness Project the deadline is on December 31, 2010 and the award is for $500. And it is opened for everyone who cares about the environment and who is seeking young people to care about the environment as well.
