Join the Biomedical Careers Academy for a Valentine Gift Fundraiser!
Join us the evening of February 9th, 2010 from 5-7pm in the Lawndale High School Cafeteria to make an unforgettable gift for your valentine: a necklace of your own DNA!
Participants will extract DNA from their very own cheek cells, and encapsulate it in a heart-shaped glass pendant on a necklace.
This is a great opportunity for you and your children to learn about and participate in the cutting-edge science of DNA extraction while making a personalized valentine gift for a loved one. (Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times)
