BCA Studets visit Beckman Research Center and San Dieg Wild Animal Park

On Thursday, April 15th, BCA students and teachers headed south to visit the Beckman Research Center and the San Diego Wild Animal Park.

At the Beckman Research Center for Endangered Species Conservation Research, students toured the state-of-the-art facilities and learned about current research going on at the facility and around the world, Students also conducted a lab on Reproductive Endocrinology where they tracked hormone levels in African Elephants. Students were able to identify pregnancy, normal hormonal cycling, and reproductive disorders. Later, students were able to visit the park and see the elephants that they were testing!

At the Wild Animal Park, students toured the park and enjoyed getting up close and personal with a diverse array of wild animals!
