all right self there are going to be two ways you can wedge two ways that I was at least one of them talk said now you can kind of see a little bit going on right now you can kind of see you like guys or whatever and the other way that I do a spiral Legend you'll see that in the second kick to the Spurs way I can hold my hands on the outside and I'm pushing in with like right below my thumb right here with the pads and I'm pushing in and Rock so you can see the claim is kind of a Little Rock to it I'm not pushing it like that because then when you fold it back up here in a full deck layover and you're going to get air pockets so basically you're just wasting time doing is I'm I'm pushing hard enough that I'm actually pushing air bubbles out but I'm pushing soft enough that I'm really only going I don't know a quarter of the thickness of the clay I'm really not pushing out hard it looks like I am yeah but that's just where it's been wedge and is getting ready to come back into the wedding process so what I do is I push down and a rocket forward pivot my hands right here on these little I pushed and I'm kind of actively holding this clay in cuz if I just do it like this I don't have my hands on the outside and say I'm just going to have a burrito you don't want that so you push and that just gets the air bubbles out it also get to clean a little more plastic assuming that you mix your own clay or that you bought Clay run pregnant or something sometimes the clay will have little areas where the place not mixed all the way and those areas if they're not mix the city of Berkeley which is really plastic play you don't have that mixed in with the rest of the clay then there's a chance gif are you mine did they close all the way makes you can make it this high but if it's short you can we make it this high so you weren't really why do they play really well to get all that clay all those clay particles kind of homogenized mixed together to do this Army times you feel do you need to until you get that are rolled out so on so forth and then you just go a little more gentle little more little more throw on the wheel or cut it off and then you like that way that I do it now it's called spiral wedging and I just like it cuz it's easier cuz I just have one Pivot Point my hand going to put it right here going to push in but I'm going to Pivot in Rock this is a more advanced technique I would say but it's what you figure it out it's the only way you would die so you push down and as you can see I pushed right here right here and see where my hands were right hand is here like he was here okay Rock up push again Rock up push again and instead of having the horn my right hand right here pushing into it so it's wedging the clay basically on the side is where the clay is getting wedge can you wedge over here so I'm not pushing in with this part of my hand I'm not pushing in with this part of my hand Okay so just going to keep going with that it almost looks like a seashell the way I'm doing it and the reason is called spiral wedging can't really see it but I kind of making a spiral right here a better you can just see that the clay start the swirl another reason why I like doing this and when you're all said and done with it if you go lighter at fuse left 4 / 4 + 4 + 4 that's what you had to throw on the wheel head as opposed to two Tides it would like this is going to Big Block play you got something that just throw right on the wheel hub and get ready to go through with it so it is easier to clean make sure you don't have any Bridges or any places that look make an air pocket on the wheel head
